    I absolutely love my hair! Thanks to the owner and Curls specialist Marcela! It's a quaint little salon just off the main thoroughfare of Los Gatos with a warm and happy vibe. Marcela works magic with color (check out my highlights!) and does amazing cuts on both men and women but as the name says.... Her true expertise and passion is helping clients with curly hair. I highly recommend her- you can thank me later

    I got my first curly cut from Marcela. It was such an amazing experience! I kept forgetting to talk and be social as I was mesmerized by watching my fluffy hair transform. The dry cut took a moment to get used to, but the results! When it came time to shampoo, I received the most relaxing scalp massage. I just hope I didn't drool. Once prepped, it was time to diffuse. I have never had a salon diffuse my curly hair, they always wanted to give me blow outs. I must say, if I could afford it, I would book an appointment for every wash day, just so Marcela could work her magic. By the time she was done, I could've been one of those hair models. My hair had never looked so good. It was voluminous and I had curls that I always dreamed of. Yes, it was a bit pricy, but some things are worth spending on...a mattress, good shoes, a stylist who is a master with curly hair...you know, the important things in life. Additionally, Marcela said I could get 6-9 months from this haircut, so I believe it is worth it. Thank you Marcela for making me love my curls!

    This was my first curly cut, and overall I'm very happy with the cut from Marcela. I have implemented some of the techniques and products Marcela recommended and they have improved my wash day results drastically. Even though I am happy with my cut, there were a few things I wasn't thrilled about: - Cut and styling was $410! I was shocked when I went to pay. As there is no website for Curls Salon I wasn't able to confirm the cost beforehand. I wish Marcela would have quoted the cost when I initially made the appointment. - She was late for my appointment due to a scheduling mishap (on her end). I waited outside the locked salon for 30 min texting and calling with no response. After I left and drove all the way home, she called and asked me to come back. Just as we were starting the styling process, the next client arrived. This caused her to bounce back and forth between us. My styling felt rushed. - She had a new aid helping with the styling, which should have made things better, except it was the aids first day. Normally I wouldn't mind being a guinea pig, but this was my first curly cut, I wanted to learn as much as possible from Marcela (especially as I was spending $410!). But instead, Marcela spent the time teaching her aid. So I felt like I didn't get the instruction I was paying for. - After her tardiness and time spent training her aid, I was expecting her to offer me a discount for my inconvenience. I should have said something at the time, but I was too stunned by the $$$ bill she gave me. Marcela is a lovely lady, and she is great with curly hair. I gave her 4 stars for that reason. But I just wanted others to be aware of the issues I encountered so as to avoid disappointment for themselves.

    Oh my goodness! I am so happy I found Curls Hair Salon! Thank you Marcela and Addie for doing such a fantastic job! Finding people who know how to work with curls has been super hard for me in the Bay! So glad I found this place. Marcela knows how to care and maintain curly hair- she is an artist and she truly cares about her work . Thank you Addie for a wonderful shampoo and conditioner massage and thank you both for being so kind and welcoming! The Salon is so cute and I love the style of the paintings and feminine energy! Def will come back soon!
